Game making

So you want to know how to make a game? well you have came to the right place. if you want to learn how to make toast then you have come to the wrong place!

so in these tutorials i will have some simple tutorials to help you create your first game and learn some really helpful stuff. you could even make a bit of money!


SCRATCH TUTORIALS:
so making a game takes a lot of time but with scratch you can make a great basic game in a few hours. scratch offers a variety of tools and is really great. it is how i started making my own games!

(1) DOWNLOADING SCRATCH:
 go to scratch- scratch.mit.edu

click the download scratch button!

then click the appropriate download for your PC type

your download will then start!













(2) movement
so when you go to scratch you should be able to see a cat on the right hand side. there will also be lots of scripts and places to put them on the left hand side!
this may look very confusing but it really is not!!! for this tutorial i will use a YouTube video. (i made this video myself) this video will show you how to add movement to your sprite so it can move around!!! click play to start my video!  please go into full screen mode whilst you are watching the video

so now that you have watched that video you may want to know how to make a menu!

(4) level 1/design of level 2:

so every good game needs a level! so now we are going to make our first level. i have made a YouTube video which will show you how to make it.  please go into full screen mode whilst you are watching the video.

once you have finished watching that we are going to be exploring the magical worlds of... Variables. variables are basically like a score system for your game. you can have lives/money or pickups and stuff like that. it can be really useful!
